Chickens for NCPs

With the support of Rotary Club Mbabane and Rotary Club Bathavon, England, Young Heroes donated chicken broilers – and food and medication for the chicks – to twelve Neighborhood Care Points (NCPs) the Shiselweni region. Over 130 orphan caregivers will benefit from this donation, which helps them to kick-start their businesses.

Before receiving the donation, 200 caregivers from 40 NCPs were trained on basic business skills: identifying and starting a business; marketing; financial management; overcoming challenges; business sustainability; monitoring; and skills development. The goal: That they use their training to create cooperative businesses that will improve the financial well-being of their families and communities.
