YHF Welcomes New Executive Director

Young Heroes’ founder and Young Heroes Foundation president Steve Kallaugher has passed the torch to Jacquelyn Eisenberg-Nelson, MSW.

On April 1, 2020, Jacque assumed leadership of the US-based foundation. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and Global Health, and spent 15 years managing international public health and development programs. Jacque brings in-country experience as a former Peace Corp Volunteer in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). She continues to serve as chairperson of the US board.

Upon stepping into her new position Jacque noted, “As a Peace Corps Volunteer, Steve Kallaugher identified a dire need. Over the past 15 years, he has built a sustainable intervention that has helped more than 15,000 children while raising over $2 million dollars. His vision and unflappable dedication have created a legacy that will impact the lives of families for generations. I look forward to collaborating with the Young Heroes staff and board as we continue to serve the people of Eswatini together.”

Steve added, “Jacque has been a part of Young Heroes since its inception. Her deep commitment to the children of Eswatini makes her the perfect choice to lead the foundation to continuing success in the future.”

Please join us in welcoming Jacque. For questions and salutations, reach out to Jacquelyn Eisenberg-Nelson here.
