Young Heroes and UNICEF Bring New Opportunities for the Youth to Eswatini
Young Heroes, supported by UNICEF Eswatini and in partnership with the Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC), officially launched the Youth4Change (Y4C) Project. The launch was officiated by the Minister of Sports, Culture, and Youth, Hon. Muzi Bongani Nzima.
Y4C introduces the Youth Agency Marketplace (YOMA) in Eswatini among five other regional countries. YOMA connects young people to opportunities in learning, skills development, volunteering, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and employment that help them learn, grow, and thrive. The youth will pursue pathways in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Child Protection, Climate and the Green Economy, and Education and Digital Transformation, building the knowledge and experience they need to succeed in a changing world.
This launch highlights the Government of Eswatini’s dedication to investing in young people and preparing them for a more digital future. It unites the government, development partners, the private sector, civil society, and youth organizations in a common effort to empower youth. It completes the missing piece in Young Heroes’ over twenty years of helping children and youth overcome obstacles, unlock their potential, and succeed.
